Planning Our ROM!!

After the Proposal, the next stage would be to plan the ROM event!

So here are a list of things you need:
* Venue
* JP aka solemnizer
* Ring (Exchange) 
* ROM Dress
* Photo Person 
* e-Filling (ROM) 

The first panic we had was getting our JP, because without a JP nth happens!! So yup we kinda research and got the best 5 in Sinapore and they are all very nice ppl i guess and they are very passionate about being JPs and they give great wedding and marriage advice. But after much e-mailing and calling and going back and forth with the different JPs, we finally got Mr Simon Sim (same surname as Stanley) to be our JP. 

Mr Simon Sim is very nice he actually ask to meet us and did a mini pre-wedding thingy with us by going through a personality test for us and explaining to us how we should manage our marriage, of course he is a marriage counsellor himself thus i believe he is very qualified to be doing this. He is very passionate about his job as a JP and he is really a very nice guy. 

After settling the JP, the next on the list was the venue, that was easy for us as my cousin had her ROM @ Blue Ginger and it was really good so my mum say we should have it there too. Which gladly we did, and Blue Ginger was very nice, they provided us with great help and also throw in free candy table and extra bottles of wine for our event! So nice of them! So basically we took up their ROM package @ $60 per pax for a total of 25 Pax. We wanted something small and really private for our ROM. so yup. You need to meet the cut to be invited. =)

Once you have ur venue and JP settled, e-filling is easy, but that will cost u $26. 

Dress wise was easy for me, I got an ROM dress from online which fits me nicely! Love the Dress!! and Best it only Cost me $26.90.

For photo, I got in the help of my Bro and Sis, I wanted to have Polaroids going on. So my sis was in charge of that while my bro who was very much into photography was my cameraman for the day. So yup family price so FOC but the polaroid cost me like $40 for 4+2 packs. 

The thing which we got last was the Ring, really did not wanna spend much and don't really see the importance of it as i don't like wearing a ring, and both stanley and my job don't really allow us to have nice ring and allow it to be undamage. So yup, we went easy on this part and spend really low here. 

So yup, actually, we did not kill ourselves over the whole ROM planning, things went well and WE made it tgt! Best is we understand what we wanted and work within our budget! 

His Proposal...

My agreement with Stanley before this took place was that i do not need a proposal. We know what we want and truly know what we are moving towards.

However, Stanley being him always says he needs to give me what he needs to and that we should not deviate too much from the norms.

So very romantically on our 58th month celebration he made his proposal with much effort. He was very stress the weeks before this and unknowing to me that he was planning the proposal i added some unnecessary stress to him as well i guess.

After the dinner, Stanley act like all normal and drove me back home. However, in the end he drove to Bishan Park and it was there he proposal. with a awesome album with a hidden compartment where the ring sits.
