GDL Day!!

Stanley and I are not a fan of traditions and having to go through all this customaries was really a pain for us. However, we try our best to make it as easy and as simplified as possible. Thus, we had a very simple Gou Da Li and i think as generation move by and as we get more and more westernise and modern this "tradition" will fade away.

So here is our SIMPLE Gou Da Li.

Place to Buy Guo Da Li items
1) Chinatown; People's Park Centre
2) Le Knot @ City Plaza Level 5
3) The Chinese Wedding Shop @ Jubilee Ang Mo Kio

If you head to JB often you can also visit this shop which sells all the items at a cheaper price compared to Singapore. It is like everything same price as SG but in Ringgit.

4) Big Day Wedding & Gifts @ 88 Jln Tombak 1, Taman Sri Tebrau. Phone number is +60 7-333 4555

Places to buy Guo Da Li Wedding Cakes
1) Kyo Cakes @ 82 Marine Parade Central

We got 30 boxes from them which are cute and tasty! Great Service! Free home delivery with every $100 dollars purchase and also 5% discount with every $200 purchase.

2) Pine Gardens @ 529 Ang Mo Kio Ave 10

We got like 16 boxes from them, their cakes are nice and tasty but they can be very crowded which leads to a lack in service as there is just too many customers to serve at each time. But their cakes are indeed nice!

3) Swee Heng Cakes @ 24 Senoko Crescent
they have lesser selection but prices are affordable so for couple on budget this is a good choice too!

Hope this helps couples who are doing their wedding planning and remember at the end of the day tradition can be compromise if we learn how to simplify things a little and something, it is best to just do it not for you but for the bond of the 2 family.
